Yeah, I found this to be a difficult one.
Having said that, it’s the fruit of about an hour’s time with little-to-no editorial input.

A journal entry is by definition going to be a list of thoughts. I felt that a character with (at this stage) very little experience with the world, or with the act of thinking itself would write in an exceedingly contemplative manner.

I’m hoping to improve with time. This is the first I’ve written since my “creative piece” for my 2001 Year 12 English class.

Definitely keep writing, man. This is a good start. There’s some nice, thought-provoking lines, philosophical and intriguing.

The thing to watch out for, is writing too conventionally. Beware of too many cliche expressions “Little did I know…” and beware of the writing always having the pace and feel of sci-fi movie voiceovers.

Otherwise, keep it up, it’s good.
